Wind, waves, rain and official marine restrictions can affect routes and departures. BPDC may delay, change or cancel an outing when safety requires it. Keep a flexible day when an offshore trip is central to your visit.
- Confirm your meeting time and location the day before a trip
- Bring sun protection, water and any personal motion-sickness plan approved by your clinician
- Follow crew instructions when boarding, underway and entering the water
- Protect the reef by avoiding contact with coral and marine life
Do not schedule a flight too soon after scuba diving.
DAN publishes minimum preflight intervals of 12 hours after one no-decompression dive, 18 hours after multiple dives in a day or diving across multiple days, and 24 hours after a dive requiring mandatory decompression. Allow longer when your computer or medical advice calls for it.
